Sean McDermott

About

Long-time member of Andy Reid's coaching staff for the Philadelphia Eagles who earned his first head coaching opportunity with the Buffalo Bills in 2017. From 2011 to 2016, he was the defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers.

Before Fame

He was an All-Southeastern Pennsylvania defensive back for La Salle College High School. He was a two-time national prep champion wrestler as well.

Trivia

He graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance from the College of William and Mary.

Family Life

His father was a high school football coach. He has an older brother Tim who served as Chief Business Officer of the Philadelphia Union Major League Soccer franchise.

He took over the Bills head coaching position after Buffalo fired Rex Ryan.
