High scoring player who spent his career with Footscray, also known as the Western Bulldogs, an AFL club. He also served as captain of the team from 1994 until his retirement in 2000. He is widely regarded as one of the best ruckmen in the modern era. He was named as part of the Western Bulldogs Team of the Century.

He made his professional debut in 1988. 

Trivia

In 1992, he won the Charles Sutton Medal and the Brownlow Medal. He stands at 6 feet 7 inches tall.

He was born in Jacana, Victoria, Australia.
