Scott Powell

Singer best known as the lead vocalist for the rock band Sha Na Na, who had its own television series and appeared in the classic film Grease. He later became an orthopedic surgeon and founded Stetson Powell Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

Before Fame

He was born in Dallas and founded Sha Na Na, originally called The Kingsmen, in 1969.

Trivia

He has served as the team physician for the United States Soccer Federation Women’s National Team.

Family Life

He married surgeon Cynthia Boxrud.
