A multitalented artist with Puerto Rican roots, excelling in various creative fields such as singing, songwriting, rapping, spoken word poetry, dancing, and acting. She burst onto the music scene as she joined the pop group C+C Music Factory for her musical debut. During her time with the group, she contributed to the release of two singles. The first single, titled "Live Your Life," was a global sensation and credited as C+C Music Factory presents Scarlett Santana. This chart-topping track was featured on the Bill Coleman Remixxer compilation album, which hit the airwaves in early 2010.

Before Fame

She attributes her musical inspiration to her mother, who exposed her to a diverse range of genres, including soft ballads, disco, and the vibrant sounds of Fania All Stars Salsa musicians, among others. 

Trivia

In August 2012, she received the honor of being invited to perform in Washington D.C. The purpose of the performance was to contribute to the fundraising efforts for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Scarlett is from Newark, New Jersey. She was raised by a single mother of three.
