The idea of "Savannah's Soldiers" came to her at the age of 11, when her friend's father was deployed for an entire year. She channeled her empathy into a constructive way to cheer up soldiers who were far away from their families.

She was born Savannah Maddison Ogden in South Florida. She has a sister named Sierra and they spend a lot of their time horseback riding, scuba diving, and traveling. They have a pet dog and cat.
