He is a retired army captain who served as the King's Royal Bodyguard for five years. He started to focus on bodybuilding in 2013 and won Mr. Bhutan in 2017.

He made his Bollywood debut with Salman Khan, starring in the film Radhe. He also worked alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan as a police officer, Juju.

He is from Phuentsholing, Bhutan. He is married to Khendum Dorji, and they have one child.
