Sam Rosen

Sportscaster best known as the play-by-play announcer for New York Rangers hockey games. Though he is known primarily for his hockey announcing, he has also called NFL Games for Fox and New York Cosmos soccer games.

Before Fame

He was captain of the baseball team at both Stuyvesant High School and the City College of New York.

Trivia

He was inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.

Family Life

He has sons named Matthew and Garett. Matthew Rosen has worked as a sportscaster for CBS Sports and the Big Ten Network.

He got his start calling Rangers games alongside ex-Rangers star Phil Esposito in 1984.
