Sam Rainsy

Cambodian Minister of Finance from 1993 to 1994 who was a member of the National Assembly from 1993 to 2008. He became the Leader of the National Rescue Party in 2012.

Before Fame

He lived in France and worked as an investment manager.

Trivia

He went into self-imposed exile after accusing the Cambodian People's Party of the joint Vietnamese-Cambodian government of corruption.

Family Life

He married a fellow member of Parliament and they had three children.

Associated With

He returned to Cambodia after being pardoned in 2006 by King Norodom Sihamoni, son of former King Norodom Shinanouk.
