Actor and composer best known as the husband of actress Anna Popplewell and the son of playwright John Caird.

He went to Oxford College, graduating in 2010. He was a member of the Oxford University Dramatic Society.

He collaborated with his father and composer Paul Gordon to develop a modern musical version of A Christmas Carol, titled Little Miss Scrooge.
