Japanese supercentenarian who became the world's oldest living man in June 2014. He received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, 4th Class distinction from the Japanese government for his longevity.

In 1948, he became the first President of Hanawa Fukushima Prefectural Technical High School.

He died of kidney failure at the age of 112 years and 150 days.
