Her career began in 2008 when she was awared 2nd runner-up in the music talent hunt show, Khude Gaanraj. Her first song recording was for a movie in 2008 arranged by Khude Gaanraj team.

She has sung for over 150 movies in the Bangladeshi Film Industry, as a playback singer. A few of her popular songs include "Joy Hobei Hobe," "Ontore Acho Tumi Amar" and "Ore Mon." She has over 2.6 million followers on Instagram, where she posts under the handle porshi.
