She is also known for her work with the e-commerce platform Shopify, where she has held several roles including the title of Senior Product Marketing Manager.  

Before Fame

After beginning her wellness journey in 2013, she created an Instagram account to track her weight loss and keep herself accountable, initially keeping it private and sharing it only with her boyfriend and best friend. But when she accidentally linked the account to her Facebook, it became public - an error she originally intended to fix. To her surprise, the account quickly attracted an outpouring of support and messages from people inspired by her journey. Within just six months, she had gained over 75,000 followers and began receiving brand sponsorships and other fruitful opportunities. Prior to launching her professional career in 2014, she earned a degree in advertising from OCAD University.

In 2014, she was featured on the ASC Public Relations blog for its "Motivation Monday" series. She played a pivotal early role in the launch and success of the successful, premium social media marketing agency #paid, becoming one of its first influencers. Her rapid growth and brand appeal inspired close friends Adam Rivietz and Bryan Gold to create the platform as a way to monetize high-value influencer-brand collaborations.

Family Life

She and her husband, Robbie, got engaged on their 8-year anniversary in July 2017 before tying the knot the following year.
