Ron Hextall

About

NHL goalie most famous for his years with the Philadelphia Flyers, becoming the most winning goalie in Flyers history. He won the Conn Smythe Trophy in a losing effort against the Edmonton Oilers in the 1986-87 Stanley Cup Final.

Before Fame

He played junior hockey for the the Melville Millionaires in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Trivia

During the 1987-88 season, he became the first goalie in NHL history to score a goal into the opponent's open net.

Family Life

He married figure skater Diane Ogibowski, with whom he has children named Kristin, Jeffrey, Brett and Rebecca.
