Known best for her role as Carole Hudson-Hummel on the popular Fox musical series Glee, this actress also appeared on episodes of CSI, Shark, Private Practice, and Boston Legal, among other television series. She would then earn a regular role on the Freeform series Beyond.  

Before Fame

She graduated from Northwestern University in Illinois. Early in her career, she appeared in a 1990 episode of Murphy Brown.

Trivia

She acted in several 2014 episodes of the ABC Family series The Fosters.

Family Life

In 2008, she married fellow screen actor Stephen Root; the two co-starred in a Season Four episode of the science fiction series Fringe.
