Román Torres

About

Male singer, songwriter and guitarist best known for being a member of the Mexican pop band Matisse. In 2015, their group received a nomination for 'Best Breakthrough Artist' during the Latin Grammy Awards. He and his bandmates are signed to the Sony Music Latin record label. 

Before Fame

He and his fellow bandmate, Pablo Preciado, originally met as students studying music. He and the group released their debut single "La misma luna" in 2014. 

Trivia

The group's name of Matisse was actually inspired by a piece of artwork from the legendary French painter Henri Matisse. 

Family Life

He was born and raised in Mexicali, Mexico. He has a son with his wife Maria Fernanda.
