Robert Littell

About

An American author and journalist, he is best known for his fifteen spy novels, most of which deal with the Soviet Union and the CIA. His most popular titles include The Company and The Defection of A. J. Lewinter.

Before Fame

After graduating from New York's Alfred University, he spent four years in the U.S. Navy.

Trivia

During the Cold War years, he worked for Newsweek magazine.

Family Life

He grew up in Brooklyn, New York. His son, Jonathan Littell, became an award-winning fiction writer.
