Robert Chartoff

About

One half with Irwin Winkler of the Chartoff-Winkler Productions company that made Raging Bull and other respected films.

Before Fame

He worked with Winkler from the early 1960s to the mid-1980s producing a string of hit titles, including They Shoot Horses, Don't They? from 1969 and The Right Stuff from 1983.

Trivia

He built on his success after he and Winkler went their separate ways by producing The Mechanic with Charles Bronson.

Family Life

He married Vanessa Howard in 1970. The couple had five children.

He produced the Rocky films, which starred Sylvester Stallone.
