Illinois-born man best known for being the great-grandson of assassinated United States President Abraham Lincoln. He was considered the last living undisputed descendant of Abraham Lincoln. He never confirmed paternity for any child, at least publicly.

He was born in Riverside and attended the New York Military Academy in New York.

Trivia

He was a private man who worked as a gentleman farmer and lived most of his life in Vermont and Washington, D.C. He was an avid sailor and had his own private farm as part of his inheritance.

He was married twice. His first marriage lasted thirty years.
