Oscar Polk

Most famous for playing the role of "Pork" in the classic film Gone with the Wind, this American actor also had a successful stage career. His Broadway credits include roles in the 1930 production of Once in a Lifetime and the 1943 production of Dark Eyes.

He appeared in his first Broadway play, The Trial of Mary Dugan, in 1927.

He died in his late forties as the victim of a tragic accident: while walking in Times Square, he was hit by a taxi.
