Nick Calathes

About

Greek-American basketball star who won consecutive Greek League championships with Panathinaikos BC in 2010 and 2011. He made the leap to the NBA as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies for the 2013-14 season.

Before Fame

He attended the University of Florida, where he was named SEC Newcomer of the Year.

Trivia

He had an outstanding 2013 season with the Russian team Lokomotiv Kuban, winning the Eurocup MVP award and All-Eurocup First Team honors.

Family Life

He is the younger brother of Pat Calathes, who has also played basketball for Panathinaikos BC.

He was teammates with NBA player Chandler Parsons at both Lake Howell High School and the University of Forida.
