Irish politician known for being a Teachta Dála of the Cavan-Monaghan constituency since getting elected in 2016. She has been the Chair of the Committee on Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport and the Gaeltacht since September 2020

Before Fame

She was a member of the Cavan County Council from 2009 to 2016. 

Trivia

She is a member of the Fianna Fáil party. She was elected as the first president of the Fianna Fáil women's network in September 2015. 

Family Life

Her parents are Dessie and Maura Smyth. She married James Conaty and they have one daughter together. They have been separated since 2018.
