Acclaimed concert musician who retired from performing in 2007 to study medicine at Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School.

Before Fame

She was attending the Chetham's School of Music when she decided on a career as a pianist.

Trivia

Her recordings included the works of Ravel, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Clara Schumann, and Fauré. Her first CD was named by Gramophone Magazine as one of the Critics' Favorite CDs of 2001.

Family Life

She lived in Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and Canada growing up. She later married a marine biologist.

Associated With

She was the second-youngest ARCT-degree graduate from Toronto's The Royal Conservatory of Music, walking the aisle when she was 13. Glenn Gould was the youngest.
