She broke news on allegations involving Rob Porter, Al Franken and Blake Farenthold.

Before Fame

Her family moved to Hong Kong when she was seven. She enrolled in an American school, where she learned English. She moved to the United States to attend boarding school in eleventh grade. 

Trivia

After graduating from Georgetown University, she was offered an entry-level job in journalism. The employer took back the offer when they found out she was on a visa. In 2016, she became a United States citizen. Prior to CNN, she worked as a finance and politics reporter at Politico in Washington, D.C.

She married journalist Alex Burns. She has a brother.
