Singaporean classical violinist known for her performances with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, and the Russian National Orchestra, along with her violin recordings, including her debut album with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and other works featuring Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D and Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2 

Before Fame

She started playing the violin when she was two years old. She gave her first public performance when she was five years old at Singapore's Victoria Concert Hall. She moved to the United States when she was nine to pursue advanced musical studies. She attended the University of Michigan and later the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. She became the youngest student admitted to the graduate program at Yale University at just 14 years old.

Trivia

She is left-handed which is a unique trait among violinists as the instrument is traditionally played right-handed. She enjoys starting her day with chocolate. She mentored child prodigy Samuel Tan, who ended up winning the Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition at nine years old.

She was born in Singapore. She has three sisters. She has two children with Loh Lik Peng.
