Child cancer survivor dubbed Batkid, who at age five was the recipient of one of the most elaborate Make-A-Wish projects ever staged. His wish was to be a superhero sidekick. In November 2013, San Francisco locals and businesses worked to create a fake Gotham City and staged events in his honor. In 2018, he was declared cancer-free.

Before Fame

At 18 months old, he was diagnosed with a form of leukemia called lymphoblastic leukemia.

Trivia

The San Francisco Chronicle produced a "Gotham City Chronicle" to help make his wish come true. The newspaper had the headline "Batkid Saves City: Hooded hero nabs Riddler, rescues a damsel in distress." In 2015, it was announced that Julia Roberts would produce and star in a feature adaptation of his story.

Family Life

He was raised by his parents. His younger brother Clayton dressed as Robin back in 2013. His brother Ben was born after his big day.
