British actress and comedian who wrote, produced, and starred in the comedy drama TV series Spent. She also starred as Bev in the TV show The Duchess. She has a popular Instagram account michelledeswarte, which has garnered 170,000 followers. On her Instagram, she has posted numerous clips from her stand-up comedy shows. She has also documented her TV career as well as her life outside of her professional career. 

Before Fame

When she was 19, she was scouted in a mall by a booker from modeling agency Select Model Management. Soon after, she moved to New York City to begin her modeling career. She modeled for brands such as Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, and Versace. She began her stand-up comedy career in her thirties.

In August 2023, she attended the BBC Proms. In October 2017, she visited the Frida Kahlo Museum in Mexico City.

She was born in Lewisham, London, England. She was born to a Jewish mother and a Jamaican father.
