She raced in the World Rally Championship, most notably for Audi, from 1974-1986, where she won four races. Her last professional rally was the 1986 Tour de Corse.

Before Fame

She studied law in school, before quitting to train for rally racing.

Trivia

She co-founded the international event Race of Champions. The 2022 documentary Queen of Speed revolved around her career in the 1980s. 

Family Life

He married Claude Guarnieri and had her first child in 1987.
