He formerly played NCAA basketball. He withdrew from college to pursue music, fashion, and film.

He moved to New York to study acting before settling in South Africa. In March 2024, he released a memoir titled Black Butterfly. He sang in a Mr. Clean commercial that was featured in the 2017 Super Bowl.
