Michael Latta

Canadian hockey player who was selected in the third round of the 2009 NHL Draft by the Nashville Predators. He made his NHL debut in 2013 with the Washington Capitals after being traded for Filip Forsberg the year before.

Before Fame

He played in the Ontario Hockey League for the Ottawa 67s and Guelph Storm, where he had 247 points in 241 games over four years.

Trivia

Although he averaged more than a point per game as a junior hockey player, he started his professional career by establishing himself as a physical presence, accumulating more than 100 penalty minutes in each of his first three AHL seasons.

Family Life

He was born to Gary and Liz Latta, who were in attendance when he scored his first NHL goal in 2013.

Associated With

He became known on social media for chronicling his life rooming with teammates Tom Wilson and Andre Burakovsky, although Burakovsky moved out at the end of 2015.
