Michael Castro

Season eight alumnus of American Idol whose music has been featured on the ABC Family show Jane by Design and the Oxygen reality series Bad Girls Club. In 2016, he started a band called Castro with his brother and sister. 

Before Fame

He first appeared in the national spotlight when he appeared on American Idol. His brother Jason Castro appeared on the show the previous season.

Trivia

He releases weekly videos on his YouTube channel MCasMusic and has independently released a number of albums.

Family Life

He is originally from Rockwall, Texas. He is the middle child in between Jason and Jackie Castro. He frequently posts photos on Instagram with his girlfriend, makeup artist Kandee Johnson. 

Associated With

He has opened for his brother Jason Castro previously. Jason also helped co-write the single "Be Yourself Tonight" for Michael's self-titled debut EP.
