About

Olympic gold medalist that has represented the Russian men's National team since 2008. During that time span, he has competed in the European Championships, FIVB World Cup, FIVB World League as well as the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 Summer Olympics. While playing for the Russia-based volleyball club Zenit Kazan, he was named CEV Champions League MVP. 

Before Fame

He initially began playing volleyball as a young boy coming up. In 2005, he won a gold medal at the World U-19 Championships. 

Trivia

He won his first career Olympic gold medal during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England. He has won over 10 different gold medals during his professional career. 

Family Life

He lives along with his wife, Anastasia, and their son. He is a native of Leningrad Oblast, Russia.
