Max Montoya

About

Retired guard who spent 16 seasons as an active player for the National Football League. He played college football for UCLA. He took part in the 1979 NFL Draft and was selected during the seventh round. He went on to play for the Cincinnati Bengals and the now-defunct Los Angeles Raiders. 

Before Fame

He played football at La Puente High School in La Puente, California. He had a heart murmur that prevented him from playing during his senior year. 

Trivia

After retirement, he became a restaurateur. He stands at 6 feet 5 inches. 

Family Life

He was born in Montebello, California. He is of Mexican descent. He has a son named Matthew and a daughter named Alison.
