British former archaeologist, antique arms dealer and YouTuber, known for his medieval weapons and history videos online. His YouTube channel, Schola Gladiatoria, has over 480,000 subscribers.

Before Fame

He studied medieval history and archaeology at UCL Institute of Archaeology, as well as training in HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) as part of his degree. In 2000, he founded his own HEMA club, Schola Gladiatoria, and a few years later started what has become the biggest annual UK HEMA event, FightCamp. He started his YouTube channel in September 2013.

He has lectured and demonstrated at the Royal Armouries, the Tower of London, the Wallace Collection, the Stibbert Museum Florence and the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna. He is an extensive collector of antique weapons, and consults for dealers, auction houses and various TV, movie and stage productions. His most popular YouTube videos review the best swords for dueling, answer why certain weapons were more popular for different times of history, and rate the accuracy of weapons in historical movies.
