As an adult, she continued to work as an actress but primarily in guest star roles in television series such as Scrubs, House M.D., Private Practice, and New Girl. She co-wrote and starred in the 2016 romantic drama Saturday Scout Club.

She was discovered at age thirteen during a nationwide search for an actress to play the role of Ellen Grape in the film What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
