Automobile repair shop owner and welder who is most famous for driving a bulldozer through the walls of several businesses, including the hardware store and the town newspaper, before crashing into his own Colorado shop and subsequently shooting himself.

Before Fame

A few months before his rampage, he sold his muffler repair business to a garbage collection company.

Trivia

The motive for his crime was apparently his anger over town zoning laws that allowed for the building of a concrete plant close to his auto shop.

Family Life

He was born in Castlewood, South Dakoka. Before bulldozing through several buildings, he recorded audiotapes explaining his motives and mailed these tapes to the South Dakota residence of his brother.

Associated With

Like arsonist John Orr, he became infamous for destroying property.
