Martin Buser

About

Swiss sled dog musher who won the famous Iditarod race four times from 1992 to 2002. In 2002, he posted the second-fastest time in Iditarod history with a mark of 8 days, 22 hours, 46 minutes, and 2 seconds.

Before Fame

He began his mushing career at age seventeen and moved to Alaska in the late 70's.

Trivia

He won Rookie of the Year honors after completing his first Yukon Quest in 2009.

Family Life

He has sons named Rohn and Nikolai with teacher Kathy Chapoton.
