Maro Itoje

Rugby union lock and flanker whose incredible rise through the sport culminated in his English national team debut in 2016, at the age of 21. He started playing professional rugby for Saracens when he was only 19.

Before Fame

He grew up as a talented, multi-sport athlete and was a shot putter for the U17 English team.

Trivia

While excelling at sport, he also enrolled at the School of Oriental and African Studies to study politics and has expressed a passion for poetry.

Family Life

He grew up in London and is of Nigerian descent.
