Mark Fisher

Member of the British Labour party who held office as a Member of Parliament, representing Stone-on-Trent Central, from 1983 to 2010. He was also the Minister of the Arts from 1997 to 1998.

Before Fame

He worked at a carpet factory and as a waiter before starting his political career.

Trivia

His "Right to Know Bill" was an important fore runner of the Freedom of Information Bill, despite it not being passed.

He was married to Ingrid Geach Hunt from 1975 to 1999; the couple had four children.
