Journalist, news anchor, and television personality who rose to fame as the host of the Univision television program Noticias 23 for over 15 years. He later served as the host of the Mega TV newscast News with Mario Andrés Moreno. He also founded and hosted the Radio Caracol program Pasa la Noche con Mario Andrés Moreno.

Before Fame

He joined Univision in 2000. It was there that he met his wife, Bárbara Bermudo, who had signed on with the network the year prior.

Trivia

In addition to his multiple Emmy Awards, he was also honored with the "Journalist in Excellence of the Year" award in 2018 by the Spanish Broadcasting System, for demonstrating leadership both, in his community, and over the years in Hispanic television.

Family Life

For over 10 years, he was married to Martha Socarras, with whom he had four children named Jennifer, Michele, Mario Jr., and Daniel, before they ultimately divorced in 2002. He later married fellow journalist Bárbara Bermudo on November 29, 2008, in the Dominican Republic. They are the parents of three daughters named Mia, Camila, and Sofia. They also share a pet labradoodle named Callie.
