In 2017, she moved to Los Angeles, where she quickly immersed herself in the music scene. Her debut EP was soon released in February 2018 under Caroline Records, including tracks like "Leave," "Be The Change," and "Ask For Help."

Family Life

Born Marieme Diop, in Nouakchott, Mauritania, to a Senegalese father and a Guadeloupean mother. When she was six months old, war broke out between Mauritania and Senegal, prompting her family to flee. Marieme and her siblings moved to Senegal to live with their aunt, while her parents relocated to the Bronx, New York. The family reunited five years later in New York City.
