Singer who is best known for being ½ member of the musical duo alongside her husband, Amadou & Mariam. They have been referred to as "the blind couple from Mali." Their song "Sete" has accumulated more than 30 million streams on Spotify. 

Before Fame

She became blind at age 5 as a consequence of untreated measles. 

Trivia

In 2008, their album Welcome To Mali was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary World Music Album. In 2022, they released their popular album, Eclipse. 

Family Life

She met her husband Amadou Bagayoko at Mali's Institute for the Young Blind, where they both performed at the institute's Eclipse Orchestra. They have three children together.
