About

Basketball guard who became a premier player for University of Houston.  In 2023, he was named the AAC Player of the Year. In 2023, he was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies, only to quickly switch over to the Detroit Pistons,

Before Fame

He was coached in high school by his Uncle Jason at Red Oak High School. 

Trivia

As a sophomore, he reached the final four where his team lost to the eventual champion Baylor University.  He got injured during his conference tournament in 2023 but he was able to play for Houston in the NCAA tournament. 

Family Life

His father Marcus Sr. also played college basketball.  He also has two Uncles who played in the NBA. 

Associated With

While at Houston, he was named to the Associated Press All-America First Team.  He was the first Houston Cougar to receive that honor since Hakeem Olajuwon.
