Before Fame
He joined his first band in middle school. He then took drum courses at Purwacaraka Music School in Bandung. His band Puppen soon grew and in 1998 he left to study at Parahyangan Catholic University. In 2002, he released the song "Just Memuji" which earned national attention. He went on to release his first solo album in 2003.

He has won several honors and awards for his singing including at the 6th AMI Sharp Awards where he won Best Recorded Song for his single "Just Memuji".

He married fellow actress and beauty pageant winner Rima Melati Adams in January of 2009.
