Lorenzo Bernardi

About

Former Olympic medalist and world champion who played the position of outside hitter during his 23-year professional career. He also played for the Italian men's national team during his professional career. After retiring in 2007, he began his professional coaching career. 

Before Fame

He first began his professional volleyball career in 1984 with Pallavolo Padova. He was just a teenager at the time. 

Trivia

In 2001, he was named the 'Volleyball Player of the Century' by the International Volleyball Federation. He won eleven different gold medals during his professional volleyball career.

Family Life

He grew up living with his family in Trento, Italy. He now lives along with his wife and their family.
