Loren Shriver

About

Flew on three spaceflights, piloting one and serving as commander on two. He was inducted into the Astronaut Hall of Fame in May 2008.

Before Fame

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a test pilot before being selected as an astronaut in 1978.

Trivia

He went on to become the Deputy Director for Launch and Payload Processing at the Kennedy Space Center.

He had three children with his wife Susan.
