Singer and songwriter known for songs such as "Sunset Dreaming," "Heavily" and "Billion Dolla Bby." She became famous after uploading her early songs "The Pretty Lies" and "Beautiful Crime (Summer Love)" to Soundcloud.  In 2015, she released her first solo self-titled EP, Lisa May.

She started writing songs when she was 11. She studied guitar while at high school. She grew up listening to punk rock, pop and rock and roll.

Her real name is Maya Anna Utrugashvili. Her mother is Khatuna Iakobashvili. Her father is Gurami Utrugashvili. She got married to Joonghwa Shin in December 2023.
