Lionel Dahmer

About

Best known as the father of Jeffrey Dahmer. He worked as an analytical chemist. He later published a book about his infamous son, entitled A Father's Story. He gained media attention in 2022 after threatening to sue Netflix for a series about Jeffrey. 

Before Fame

He attended Marquette University, where he studied chemistry. 

Trivia

In 1970, he taught Jeffrey how to bleach and preserve animal bones. He believed his son had a harmless, scientific interest. 

Family Life

His parents are Herbert Walter Dahmer and Catherine Jemima Hughes. He married Joyce Dahmer, who was Jeffrey's mother. In addition to Jeffrey, they had a younger son named David. The marriage was known for being tumultuous and rife with arguments, and the couple divorced in 1977. He resided in Ohio.
