Linda Gregg

American poet whose best-known works include Things and Flesh, The Sacraments of Desire, and All of It Singing. Her numerous literary honors include the Whiting Writers' Award, the Guggenheim Fellowship, and multiple Pushcart Prizes.

Before Fame

She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from San Francisco State College.

She taught creative writing at the University of Iowa, Columbia University, and Princeton University.

Family Life

She married and later divorced fellow author and professor John Brentlinger. Prior to this marriage, she was romantically involved with poet Jack Gilbert.
