Lewis Wilson

Most famous for his title role in the original 1943 Batman film series, Wilson is also known for his roles as Paul and Iron Man Collins in the respective 1940s films Red Head from Manhattan and Sailor's Holiday.

After attending Massachusetts' Worcester Academy, he was cast by Columbia Pictures in the popular World War II-era Batman serial.

Trivia

In the late 1940s, he became a resident actor at the renowned Pasadena Playhouse in Southern California.

Family Life

His marriage to fiction writer Dana Natol (later Dana Broccoli) produced a movie producer son named Michael G. Wilson.

He retired from acting after playing an uncredited role in the 1954 Sterling Hayden crime feature Naked Alibi.
