Before Fame

He met guitarist and future Echo & the Bunnymen band mate Will Sergeant while both were students at Deyes High School in Maghull, England.

Trivia

His co-written song, "The Killing Moon," was featured on the soundtracks of the films Donnie Darko and Grosse Pointe Blank.

Family Life

He was born and raised in Lancashire, England, and he later settled in Liverpool.
